Just an Ordinary Day

Work was fun :) I messed up doing flashfloods but got the hang of it eventually. Now I just have to guard boomerang and vortex and I'll have the whole park down. Good news folks, I didn't kill anyone. [victory] After my shift ended I swam 500m in the wave pool...with the waves on. Let's just hope I never get stuck in the ocean or I'm dead.

I went on an adventure run with a friend on the train tracks starting at Vivian Park. It was super duper cool and so pretty! Everything is so green! I only fell once, and merely died when a rather large stick attacked me, but besides a minor flesh wound on my hand, all is well. Running is good. I haven't been for a while. :/ This run triggered my interest again though, so that's good I guess.

Went for a pleasant evening bareback ride after the run. Caught a runaway horsey, worked on some sweet skills with Shawnee, and scooped some major poops. It's the real life I tell ya. <-- that is in no way sarcastic either.

Michael Buble's voice is delicious. So is his face. I want him to sing me to sleep every night.

Well hello there!

ok ok ok I really do suck at blogging. I will try to make things more interesting and post more often. Or I might just stop blogging. Who knows.

Anywho, Monday was my birthday and I decided to spend the majority of the day on the back of my pony! It was BEAUTIFUL. We went up Big Springs in Provo Canyon. I've ran through there many times, but never ridden up there. Let's just say it was a dream come true. Ah I loved it!!

Marcy decorated my room and Bre brought me a magnificent icecream cake. THAT SHE MADE. Freaking good.

I went to work today... for like a grand total of an hour. :( It was pretty cold so they closed the park. There weren't very many people there so while I guarded the Lazy River I did calf raises and tried to remember derivatives. It was pretty boring. haha.  But Monday will come with hundreds of patrons and I must watch them. I'm excited but nervous. Stop and say hello if you ever see me working there! Mom had to snap a pic in my new work uniform.

It's raining. I love summer storms. I love summer. Cheers to making everyday the most it can be.

So we always make breakfast in bed and a tasty tasty pasta dinner on mothers day. We then proceed to have dessert. But my darling father "forgot"  dessert this year. Completely unacceptable. I was distraught and after moments of griping and complaining I decided to make a cake. Luckily, I had a handy dandy cake mix left over from college. I made cupcakes with white chocolate chips in them and her own personal cake. It was fun :)

I decided to become a food photographer. ;)

I love my mom!

Whoa now...back up a bit

Wowzers it's already May 12! Craziness. Let's back up a bit. One week to be exact.

Last Friday I said goodbye. Many, many goodbyes. It's an odd thought knowing that the likelihood of ever seeing some of these people is rather slim. :( Not fun. Please excuse the picture overload.

These pictures don't do justice at all, but they're fun to look at. I was blessed to live in the place I did, and meet all the people there. My ward was beyond fantastic. I loved serving in the Relief Society Presidency and will not forget the experiences we had as a presidency. I learned a ton from those girls and hope to take that knowledge with me to future church callings. In my ward we had well over 30 missionaries receive their mission calls. They are going all over the world- Guam, Canada, Poland, Ukraine, Vegas, Phillipines, California, England, Australia, Argentina, and many other places. I'm so excited for them!! and slightly jealous. Ah Logan YSA 1st Stake 2nd ward, you were the best. Our bishopric was also extraordinary. I will miss them.

I moved home. I went to Umbe's wedding reception with Ju and Ki. It was weird. Riss looked absolutely stunning. It was good to see Lex and Jade again, it's been quite some time since I've seen them. After the reception we went in the canyon and had a nice fire with nice treats. I met some of Julie's rugby crew, and they were quite entertaining. (Trying to cook canned ravioli in a fire...?) I talked with Kelsie and Nimmer, which was a great reunion.

Saturday I decided instead of unpacking I would rearrange my room and then unpack. Rearranging was a great success, but I'm not fully unpacked yet. haha. (thumbs up to having your sisters room to store your crap). It really amazes me how much STUFF I have. It's kinda stupid.
This lovely creature (it's our deranged ancient family cat, Titanic) watched me unpack and inspected the boxes to make sure they were empty. Then she decided to take a nap.

I have spent this whole week training to guard lives. And guess what!??? I'm now officially a lifeguard! [insert fist pump and slight victory dance here] I've spent over 5 hours a day in Salt Lake training. I will be guarding at the place with a view of the mountains, all seven peaks of them mountains. Ha get it? I'm working at seven peaks. I'm excited but terrified. I might be working at the Lindon pool too, which would be sweet. I really hope people don't die because I freeze when the saving moment comes. I'm sure it will all be well though :) After all, I am certified.

Happy Mother's Day tomorrow! Let's get real here though, my mom is top notch. The big man picked the right woman for the job.

Bring on Summer 2012

Done and done.
I'll be home before the night is over.

Finals

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Peace I leave with yo, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27

Come what may and love it

Have faith, not fear.

Let's do this.

Arms are pumping, legs are moving, I may or may not have pee dripping down my legs. The finish line is near.

2.more.days.
Biology final tomorrow. I badly want an A in that class. Not sure I'll get it. :(
Anatomy final on Friday. At 7:30 am. Not cool. My brain hurts. My eyes hurt. It's been quite the experience, taking anatomy this semester. You learn more new vocabulary than in a college first year language class. It's been really neat, and made me consider the medical field for about a month... but then I realized how much I don't want to go to school for that long. I really really hope I pass this class.
I broke my phone on friday. It fell out of my pocket at the Anberlin concert. I don't have an alarm anymore. Luckily my circadian rhythm is up to date thanks to my myencephelon and RAS.
I keep stressing about summer. I need a job. Preferably 2. None of the summer ranch gigs I was hoping to get worked out. Big bummer. Suck in O town for one more summer. Hopefully next summer I'll get out. If anyone knows of any places where I could get hookups to a summer job, please please please lemme know. Compared to last summer, anything would be better.
I wish I could've gone to the Imagine Dragons concert.
I want to go to the beach.
I also want to go camping.
I turn 19 in 19 days.
I can't wait to start riding daily again.
1 week down for Elder Thomas.
I don't have any healthy food left except chicken. But I don't feel like cooking. I might have mountain dew for breakfast tomorrow.
I went running today for the first time since last wednesday. Relieved myself in nature. I was terrified someone would run by right as I dropped my pants. I was safe.
I turned in my uniform today. Bye bye running in college. Forever? probably. It's been real. Real hard.
I hope I can get my dear car fixed.
I need to pack.
I need to study.
I need to sleep.
I went to the temple today. It was blissful.
Our dear hometeachers and attractive roommates gave all of us blessings on Sunday. I kept my eyes open during part of a blessing (oops) and couldn't help but smile seeing 6 fine young men dressed in suits sacrificing their time to bless us. I am so excited for all of them to enter the field. I had another friend turn in his papers yesterday. He wasn't planning on going on a mission at all. People change. :)
Summer bucketlist as of right now:
1.) get a job
2.) get another job
3.) Work with/train a new horse
4.) Improve cooking skills
5.) Learn how to play the uke
6.) Read "The Art of Racing in the Rain"
7.) Spend time with family
8.) Get into calc
9.) Become wiser, stronger, and happier.
10.) Be spontaneous

Cheers y'all
I made this myself. I'm quite proud of it.
That's my anatomy professor. He's cool. But really really smart.
